A few months ago, what first began as a dream, a wish, a possibility, quickly turned into a reality. A series of events and decisions transported me, here, on a plane, to my first stop-Lima,
Peru. Some may say I am foolish and impulsive- pulling funds planned for my future to fund this adventure, but what the naysayers may not know, is that this dream has been brewing for a long while. And the way I see it, there is no better time to make your dreams come to fruition than the present
. I see it as an investment in my future life's work, my life, and my soul. And hopefully making another's life a wee bit better in the process. This decision did not come without its heartbreak, however. Saying goodbye to my Mariko, seeing my youngest off to Argentina, leaving my work and the staff that I love, kissing my dear friends and family goodbye, and possibly a last kiss to my beloved aging dog and kitty, was more difficult than I could have ever anticipated. Thank you all for your support, advice, and love, and for coming along on this journey of mine. Peek in when you wish to, as I will be here, sharing the people, the places, the joys, and the struggles. Hopefully, in some small way, you will be inspired to begin your own journey of the heart- however that looks for you. Gracias!
"You’ll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things." — Jamie Tworkowski
