the 5th of September 2007 will always be remembered for one of the best meals I have ever had!! We ate at the "I'm Angus" in Darling Harbour. We arrived via a ferry ride that took us under the coathanger and into the harbour, passing all the fancy shops and hotels in the harbour. We jumped off at the Aquarium and made our way along the wharf looking for a seafood or steak restaurant .................. little did we know we could have the best of both worlds, and I mean best!!
We found the "I'm Angus" and stepped into the warmth. Although the restaurant is all open, there were massive big heaters everywhere (like the ones in pubs in London, and in Ireland - remember the pub in Dublin Nix?).
Dad was feeling like a steak, what a shock!, although he kept saying he felt like some seafood .............
The platter was :: 2 pieces of fillet wrapped in bacon, 2 corizo sausages, 4 Sydney rock oysters, 4 cold king prawns, 2 grilled king prawns, a pile of grilled calamari, a pile of grilled baby octopus, 2 lamb chops, 2 Kangaroo kebabs, salad, and 4 sauces for the various meats!! What a treat!!!!! The food was out of this world and Dad tried everything with us as well. The Kangaroo was ok, a sweetish taste, the oysters were quite interesting (slimy and a bit tasteless) and everything else was simply delicious!
What a feast - even having to wait for the tram, to take us to the train station for 20 minutes could not dampen our spirits. Sydney rules!!!

. anyhow we soon discovered we had found the oasis!! Dad quickly found his fillet (he has a short memory as I had made him a delicious mushroom sauced fillet on our first night in Sydney) and was happy. Jules and I then discovered the "grill and seafood platter for two". The three of us decided to order the fillet and the platter and we would then all have a nimble at everything.
