Leave London

What a day! So many things to do and so little time in which to do them! Also feeling really emotional today after realising that this was our final day of 'living in London'. Had a good cry in the morning, especially because we had to say goodbye to our lovely Brazilian housemates...Clecia and Raquel. As Conny says we are lastminute.com...well - we managed to get most things and everything that was urgent done. From booking hostels and plane tickets back to South Africa to adding the last few bits to our storage room and returning a hired van and then having to wait for the 152 bus to take us back to our flat, we managed to get to the airport only 1/2 hour later than we had originally planned!! Checked in with plenty of time but were told that they couldn't seat us together...oh well...we would survive. That didn't last long anyway as a lovely, helpful lady at the boarding gate managed to get us seats together and even better than that, with nobody sitting next to us either. After an incredibly long and turbulent flight (apparently due to the monsoon storms over India/Asia - well just as well we didn't make that our first stop) - we finally arrived in Bangkok. Met by exceptionally long queues to get through immigration we were pleased to see a big notice with our names on, held up by our friendly taxi driver, who had waited for 2 hours for us to get through passport control....only in Thailand!
