Mansilla...whatever, names are merging into one!

All is well, no muscle problems, well over half way, and just 330km to go roughly.
Tonight the town, Mansilla de les Mules (hand on the saddle of mules!) celebrated their annual medievil festival. The town was decked out in ribbons and banners, the market square covered in hay and stalls set out selling medievil wares alongside 21st century tat.
Down by the river the festivities concluded with a 2 hour jousting competition with riders dressed in original gear, the outcome, as history wrote, was a win for the cavalier from Mansilla. It was a true spectacle, and we were so lucky to have been passing this way at that particualr time.
The Meseta is virtually over and i have to say, the monotony got to the both of us, at times it was tough, looking for the smallest of things to amuse us, but we got through it whereas many people decided to take the bus, and to be honest i wouldnt have missed it for the world!

Thats soo neat.. Its like they decorated for your arrival.. How nice..
I've never experienced a jousting competition except watching the movie
'Knights Tale' .. so that would've been neat!! Hope you took some good pictures..
