Hi all
It has been a while...
First of all, I hope everyone is well!
We have had a great couple of weeks in SA. The Galapagos was awesome!
We were actually a bit nervous about the trip - I'd researched the ship we booked thoroughly and spent a lot of time on the travel forums finding the right one - just before we left for the Inca Trail, the company emailed me to say that the boat had had an accident and was no longer in operation - so they had moved us to a different ship. Turns out it was quite an upgrade and we ended up going 5 star! After a week of camping hot showers and chocolates on our pillows were great!
I'll let the photos speak for themselves about what we saw.
When we returned to Quito we spent a few days wondering through the old town and visiting more museums and churches - and eating lots of good food!
Next stop Rio! We could definitely see ourselves living here. We spent the first couple of nights in Ipanema and the last couple in Copacabana - very noice!
We are off to Buenos Aires and will write more from there. Until then...
