Arriving into London Heathrow, we rented a car and headed to Aldermaston, a quaint classic English village about 50 miles west of London.

The Hind's Head is a Fuller's (you know, that great London beer), owned Inn. Parts of this Inn date back to the 1650's, updated of course, with a great pub, restaurant, and 17 guest rooms. My room was well appointed with a private bath on the second floor.

The staff was extremely accommodating and gracious. After a long week's work in Germany, we were ready to enjoy a few pints in the pub, meet some new friends, and get a good taste of the local flair. So much so that when we remembered that we hadn't eaten since breakfast, they allowed us to order out from a local Indian restaurant (the pub's kitchen was closed by then), which I believe was the New Standard Tandoori in Tadley - excellent Chicken Tikka Massala, and dine in the back of the pub in an old wine cellar.

Breakfast was included - Traditional English breakfast for me, and filled our stomachs for a full day of touring in London.
