Midday temp: 24C

We spent most of the day at the historic Market Square in downtown San Antonio. It's known as the largest Mexican marketplace north of the Rio Grande. If southern Texas is TexMex this market was all Mex. Greg and I thought we were back in Mexico. The restaurants specialized in Mexican food and the entertainment was Mexican singing and dancing. There are over 100 shops but they seemed to carry all the same merchandise. Greg and I loved it! I bought a cowboy (cowgirl?) hat and Greg bought a leather vest. Very western. Now if only Greg could find a hat. There are so many styles and fabrics to choose from and prices vary from $15 to many hundreds of dollars. Oh well, we still have some time for shopping.
