Florine is into speed crawling now (really, if there was a race between crawling babies, I think she would win)! She crawls, and then inevitably climbs up on anything she can get her hands on. Fortunately, she only had one major fall this month where she cut open her lip on the coffee table (it was very tiny and completely healed now). Her phrase of the month is "YA-YA!". We have fun with it because you can ask her just about anything and her response will be an enthusiastic "YA-YA-YA-YA!" (as if she's saying yes). Another accomplishment for Florine is that she has finally acquired a taste for meats and vegetables WITHOUT applesauce
01 Dominique
! Yeah, its about time!Dominique is still struggling to learn how to crawl. Despite her extreme frustration with "tummy time", we practice everyday. The problem, is that if there is something that is out of reach, she knows that she can just roll to it instead. Every time I get her up on her hands and knees, she looks at me like "What the heck are you doing to me??" and arches her back so she falls back down and then she rolls to her desired location! She is getting very good at assisted walking, however. She can now stand with just one hand and barely needs assistance running across the room. Dominique's phrase of the month is "DA-DA" (too bad the Dutch word for dad is "papa"). As always, she continues to have "healthy appetite"!!
Both the twins have their two bottom teeth now. Before they go to bed every night, they get to use a toothbrush. It is so funny to watch them because they just laugh and laugh (they think it is a tickling device and nothing more)!
I think that is about it for this month. We will see what their 1 year birthday brings in less than a month now!
