The Twins turned 6 months old today! They are growing so fast! Dominique has become a pro at rolling over. She can roll both ways, side to side, front to back. Its a challenge to even change her diaper now because she is constantly try to roll over. Florine is able to roll over to her stomach but she hasn't quite figured out how to get back over. She starts to fuss when she's had enough of her belly and then I just help her turn back over.
They are also making many new noises. My personal favorite is when they purse their lips together and go "BBBBBBBBB" like a motor, blowing spit every which way in the process. It is hilarious, and even they find it funny laughing in between spit fests. They are still drooling a ton, so much that we just leave bibs on them all day long. No teeth have come in yet- I'm sure they will be here soon! And although they are not officially talking in human words, they definitely have "baby talk" down. It's so cute to see them interact together now. They finally realize that there is another baby to interact with and they enjoy having conversations together in their language. It is a combination of screaming, spitting, and cooing- very amusing!
Oh, and I almost forgot. Their new favorite toy is the mirror! Instead of two babies there are four!! Amazing! They are just mesmerized whenever I lay them in front of it. They scream and laugh and try to touch themselves through the mirror- so funny, and hours of fun! Some day they will realize that it is just their reflection, but for now I am letting them believe it is their favorite playmates! They both had their first bites of food today. Mashed broccoli- Gross, I know! Neither of them liked it at all (I wonder why?)! I guess babies start with straight up vegetables here opposed to rice cereal. I asked why and apparently parents are told that only babies who are not gaining enough weight should use rice cereal. Hopefully the girls will be able to try something they enjoy a little more. For today, they just made a HUGE mess!
