An early reveille this morning! Lol..

Eleni has to be in Larnaca early, so I am going along.

We chat a lot throughout the trip and I have to admit that I might have misunderstood my friend Eleni a little, but she is a good driver! I am happy though to be home early and spend some time with Mum before leaving for Paphos. Besides, I won't have the chance to see her again, because the day I am returning to Larnaca which is the day I fly back to Athens, she will be away with some friends to the Mountains of Troodos.

I am expecting my cousin Angelo to pick me up from home early this afternoon. At 3:30 sharp she is outside my house and together we drive off kissing goodbye my Mum….till the next trip!

Angela happens to be my very best cousin and she is so special to me.  I feel that we are more than sisters, and there are times when we laugh so much together and times when we cry.  We can perfectly understand each other and communicate, and honestly speaking I am so lucky that she moved from South Africa and she is in Cyprus now. When they lived in South Africa I spent one and a half months with them.

On this trip we have arranged that I spend some days up the mountains of Paphos and Costas, her husband has promised a sight seeing tour for me.  I have never been to Drynia – Costa’s little village, and when I asked my sister where exactly the village is she smiles craftily and tells me to wait and see.  I ask my cousin and she also smiles. Immediately I understand that it might take us some hours to drive there, but the trip is SO pleasant that I do not notice this distance. In fact, I could have gone even further and feel the same, having Angelo sitting next to me and driving for as long as we could go.

Costas greets us with a warm welcome with hugs and kisses, as we enter the house. Inside it is nice and cozy. Much earlier in the morning, I was asked if I like curry, and Angelo tells me that this is what we are going to be eating tonight. Costas is an excellent cook, and I cannot wait to taste it.

We accompany dinner with fine red wine among laughter and giggles.

There is so much to catch up with, and I am happy that we shall have the chance see each other and do so much during these couple of days. I am shown to my little studio which is opposite the courtyard of the main house, and we agree to meet in the morning for breakfast and then drive off for a tour to the round area. Angelo is not following after all, but she has to meet somebody which is very important to her. I really don’t mind at all, and it is fine with me.

Besides, Costas is a good company to be out with.
