Heading for the hotel

I pick a taxi that drives me directly to the EasyHotel in Larnaca.

The day is beautiful and I want to take a picture or two of the salt lake with the

flamingo …even though they rarely approach the banks of the lake.

They can be seen in a distance, and I am so excited.

Mr. Sergis, the taxi driver offers to park the taxi somewhere where I can take

some pictures….very kind of him indeed.

I feel great being back to Cyprus, and I can't wait to leave my luggage in the

Hotel and get out and walk.  I plan to go on foot from here to my house in

Larnaca, and it feels great with such a beautiful sunny day!

Dimitri, the manager of the EasyHotel hands me my key and suggests a couple of

places that I can go. He tells me that no breakfast is served and suggests a couple of

caffe bars in the round area where I can enjoy a proper breakfast. I met Dimitri when

I was in Larnaca again last March and we have the chance to talk a bit before going

up to my room.

There is a nice view from the huge door window and the balcony, and everything looks clean and in

order in here. The bathroom is small but functional.

I love the combination of white and orange and the pale green-blue of the dressing table.

It might be plastic but it is functional indeed and this is what matters.  I feel as if I am

in a room of a doll’s house. You cannot find plastic in other hotels, but this is what makes it

differ from other hotels. I prefer plastic than old dirty wooden ones.
