I will never book a flight leaving at dawn. Never again. We reached
our destination feeling so exhausted!!
Our friends are supposed to stay with us the first 4 nights, but they
decide to change their flight and spend a night in London. This caused
more money for nothing!
Because of the Festival which takes place annually in Edinburgh it was
hard to find a central hotel even though I tried to book one 4 months
just outside the premises.
To be honest, this gave us the chance to have a closer look to the
Scottish people and see how they behave in their every day life.
We were so disappointed!! The youngesters were making so much noise,
trying so badly to give a negative impression !!?? Even drinking and
leaving behind bottles and rubbish. Two or three times the bus driver
had to stop to ask them to behave properly.
The fist impression was bad,and not quite excited with the centre either.
Probably because I tried to compare Glagow and Edinburgh.
We got the Loch Ness and the Highlands tour which included Glen Coe,
Lochness, Inverness, and Pitlochry
Did some great shopping, and said goodbye to our friends. We flew to
Dublin, and they returned to London for one night, and then back to
We arrived in Dublin. The Irish people are very helpful and polite, compared
to the Scottish and this I have to admit.
The hop on hop off coache is a must, and we did that. The weather was
great, and the second day I did quite a lot of walking in the round area.
We had a tour to the country....however the weather was SO FOGGY, that
we were disappointed. The driver of the coach was in such a hurry, and
the roads are very narrow. In many places they can become dangerous too.
the 16th century.
Glendalough is the valley of the two lakes.
Then we flew to beautiful Kerry...
This word reminded me of Kerrygold butter.
So before flying there I was dreaming of green pastures full of sheep
and cows.... Kerry is beautiful.
We upgrated our room at the hotel upon arriving because we decided
that the last 6 days of this trip to be really the best. We got
executive rooms with sauna and shower.
The small city is SO PICTURESQUE!!!
We wanted to do some touring, and we did....However the weather conditions
were not the greatest
of Ireland we were supposed to see the Blasket Islands. The fog was so
thick ....that the Islands could only be imagined!!
Then we asked to have another trip, but informed that there were only
7 people instead of 9 so the tour was not going to take place.
In all, it is a lovely place however you always run the risk of this foggy
weather which is bad. For us Greeks it was a change....after the very
hot weather in Greece, but still we really wanted to see everything but
for the fog !!
One or two times in Glasgow I had the feeling that it was Christmas!!!
It was fun because this was the change I needed to have on that trip.
A combination of everything. I was in the jaccuzi, and then in the
swimming pool, all around glass, and I would see the light rain falling,
and everything so green and shiny!!
Looking forward for the next trip which is coming up soon!!
