Arrived in San Fransisco

Have just arrived in San Francisco via a Greyhouind Coach. Has took about 15 hours ( 700 miles ) I must say I certainly prefer it when I am not being so sensible with regards to budget, but never mind ! The Limo, Copter and champagne is certainly more to my taste !!
When I arrived at the Grehound station in downtown vegas I did start to wonder what the hell I was doing, as it looked like half the cast of "Shameless" were asleep in the waiting room. However once I boarded the coach, it was not too bad as most of the people just stayed in the waiting room and slept !!! The journey was fairly uneventful, the coach went via L.A, and I had to change there, hence why it took so long. I swear Ali G was sat behind me on the final leg of the journey, looked like him, and talked like him anyway. Also stopped on the way at Barstow, Clairmont, Coalinga Junction ( Where the hell is that ?? ) and Oakland ( all California ) they all had 'very interesting' Motorway type services ( mind you cheaper than ours ! )
I am still near the Bus terminal, and am now trying to work out out to get to Fisherman's wharf which is the area where my Hotel is ( San Remo Hotel ) have only booked for one night in case I get there and it is a hovel !!! Want to get my trip to Alcatraz booked today if possible as apparently it gets booked up very quickly ( thanks for that Paula ! ) Anyway I need to sign off now. Internet Charges update - This place is dearer than Vegas!!! $ 15 dollars an hour, what a joke. At this rate it would be cheaper to buy a laptop PC !!!!! More thumbnails ...

Yes will try and sort some photos out on here by the time I get to Oz !! At times like this I miss my PC savvy friends Andy & Bev !!!
The people here are Oh so friendly, verging on OTT to be honest . Certainly couldnt live here, and sooo opposite from my friends !!!!

Shameless?? Did you see Leah's mum in the waiting room??
15 hours on a coach...Ah well, I know you are used to sitting down for long periods at a time with a bottle in your hand..
Glad Vegas lived up to your expectations..Hope the rest of the trip does too..
Karen says not to cut any corners on your trip & go for it!!(Glad she is so cautious!!)

Glad there were no queens on your copter flight--- that was us!!!!!
Should have felt right at home with cast of shameless, just like customers at tesco caister!

Internet charges are much cheaper in Oz, you'll be pleased to know - just a few dollars for 20 mins or so! Sydney might be more expensive though! Also when you get to cousin Pat's you can use hers for free (don't tell her I said that - oops she's probably reading this - Hi Pat)!!!!
