We are in Munich, Germany!! The Bavaria region of Germany is home to Beerhalls, Beergartens, good beer!!, brats, oom pah bands, lederhossen, oktoberfest, and all the best stuff germanz has to offer!! Our first day here we went straight to the Haufbrahaus! A huge beerhall and beergarten that is somewhat overrun with tourists, but still has a very good german atmosphere. The Oom Pah band was playing when we arrived and the beer was flowing into huge liter glasses! Prost!! After the haufbrahaus we went to watch the Germany/Argentina W.C. match! It was a great game and afterwards the streets came alive with fans! Everyone took to the streets after Germany one and everyone headed towards the center of the city, flags waving and chants being screamed! There is a lot more to tell about the game, but I must move on to other subjects. The next day we visited Dachau, the first Nazi prison camp. It was pretty horrifying to actually see the ovens and gas chambers where they murdered countless lives. After Dachau we went to the Munich World Cup fan park and watched Portugal play England with about 35,000 other fans!! Our third day in Munich we went to Neuchwanstien, a castle built by the mad king Ludwig!! It apparently inspired Disney´s fantasyland castle and it is very evident why after seeing it. Pictures are hard to put up here in Germany, but with only a week left it won´t be long before I can show everybody all of my pics.
