Spain must be the most beautiful country in the world! Yesterday we arrived in San Sebastian, a small town in northern Spain that is on the Atlantic ocean. We are staying in a pension in the parte vieja(old city). The town lies in the bahia(bay) de la concha and is surrounded by mountains. The mountains are part of the pyrennes and today I hiked up to a castillo(castle) that is on top of one of the mountains surrounding the town and looking out to the ocean. The views from the top were amazing and I spent all afternoon discovering the many paths within the castle and the surrounding monte(mount) that it lies atop of. Tonight I will go out and get some cerveza and tapas, possibly even have a little sangria. Tomorrow I plan on hiking the monte on the opposite side of the bay and checking out the views from up there which are supposed to be even better than today´s. Spain has been so much better than France, I´m not sure if it is because I actually know some of the language or if it is just the entire atmosphere of being in a spanish city. Spain is an entoxicating place to be in even before the sangria and cerveza. I am trying to upload pictures onto facebook, so check to see if I was able to or not.
