Sabaidii Luang Prabang

After my plane not being able to land in Laos yesterday and ending up spending a night in an overpriced airport hotel in Bangkok, I've finally arrived in Luang Prabang. It's amazing; I think I'm in love!
Getting through the Laos airport was easy. I was even given a 30 day visa! I caught a taxi into town, asked for the Jaliya guesthouse, and was promptly taken to an expensive hotel on the riverfront...hahaha. When I said it was way too expensive I was given a free ride to another guesthouse, the Sayo, which is where I decided to stay. My room is exactly what I was looking for; private with an ensuite bath, a/c, fan, and hot water. Very nice! I do believe I'll be spending some time in this town!
Tomorrow I'll do a walking tour of the area, that is after I find some strong Laos coffee and croissants. My appetite is nonexistant tonight so I'm sure it will be back with a vengeance by morning.
