Dive boat disaster
Entry 16 of 23 | show all | print this entry |
The morning was rough after our experiences last night at the Treetanic. I think we'll take it easy for a few days. :)
Anyway, this morning we walked down to the UDC, stopping for breakfast at Thompson's Bakery. Their fresh bread was really good, but they sure could use some fans in their restaurant! It was hot to the point of sweating through all our clothes at 8 am....ewwwww.
I almost didn't go out on the dive boat with Aaron due to a sick tummy (thank you Treetanic...) that was lingering on and off all morning. However, I knew I would regret missing out on the fun day...actually I should have listened to my gut in the beginning. Well, Aaron had a great time diving and got to see a turtle, a spotted eagle ray, a black seahorse, and a ton of other fishies. I mananged to fling myself off the boat and into the big blue for some solo snorkelling (I must be mad!) and ended up bobbing around in the choppy water for a bit too long. My seasickness kicked in. I am officially the queen of barf. On the boat, on my feet, over the edge, the wind only helping to urge it all across my face. Awful awful ocean; how I hate thee! It even lingered in the night, the feeling of the rocking sea. Atleast Aaron's dives went well. :(
