Relaxing in Antigua

After sleeping 12 hours last night, we woke up and had a leisurely breakfast at our hotel.
Fresh orange juice, tamales, coffee, mini bananas, local cheese (not Aaron´s favorite), and chocolate muffins were all available at the buffet. We hit the streets for exploration around 10am.
Aimless wanderings led us to church ruins and lunch at a traditional Guatemala restaurant. Earthenware pots containing various meat stews sat out front. A friendly, local woman talked us through the procedure in English. Though a bit pricey for our budget, the food was very good and satisfying. After lunch we picked up a 6 pack of beer, headed back to the hotel, and made ourselves at home on our beautiful balcony overlooking Antigua´s rooftops.
5 sense check sight: cotton, blue hammock, lush greenery, curving staircase, carved wooden furniture with blue plastic handles sound: crickets or cicadas, restaurant noises, random bird calls smell: faint humidity, recent rainfall taste: spiced rum (ron) and cokes feel: cold feet, hard chairs, relaxation
