Today we left Killarney and traveled to Waterford. Along the way we visited Blarney Castle, and kissed the Blarney Stone, which is supposed to give you elloquence. To kiss the famous stone, you have to lay down, then lean over backwards and hold these bars while trying to kiss a peice of rock. We got some pretty interesting pictures out of that experience. When we arrived in Waterford we got to visit the Waterford Crystal Factory.Unfortunately, it was almost closing so we didnt get to do the tour, but we did get to see all of the crystal and a little video on how it is made. When we got to our hotel, we dropped all our stuff then went on a walkng tour of Waterford. Grandma and I also watched the semi-finals of hurling between Tipperary and Limerick. Hurling is basically a game where you have a stick and you have to score by putting the ball into the net. It's alot like soccer, except in hurling everyone basically just gets beat up and thrown to the ground. That night, we went to the oldest pub in the oldest city of Ireland, T.H.Dooleys pub in Waterford. We got to listen to the one man band that was performing there, and he was actually pretty good. The pub also had a collection of bills from foreign places, most of them being the U.S. What you do is, if you have a dollar bill then you can write your name on it and they will put it up on the wall. Grandma and I decided to do that, and now we have a dollar bill with our names on it up on the wall of some pub in Ireland.
