Isle of Skye to Glasgow
Entry 11 of 18 | show all | print this entry |

Today we left the Isle of Skye and headed to Glasgow. Along the way we saw Elian Donan Castle and drove throught the 'valley of the weeping'. Later we took a boat ride around Loch Lomond, which is a beautiful lake. It is 23 miles long and 5 miles wide. There was a tiny island called the Honeymooners Island, which is where couples went for two weeks after they married. It was said that if the couple lasted the two weeks without one of them falling off or one of them swimming back alone, the marriage would last forever. Tomorrow we will leave Scotland and cross the Irish Sea to Ireland.
