What can I tell you, we have done so much since my last entry, about three weeks ago. We started working four weeks ago, and have been working for the same firm since. We have been on a number of jobs, and got great reviews from every one of them. No surprise there though. The two directors seem like really nice guys, and are well impressed with us. Last week they arranged for us to see an imigrations lawyer, and are prepared to sponsor us. We have to see him next week, so I ll report back on that one.

Most of the last few weeks have been spent living in the backpackers 100 yds from Bondi beach, and we love it. This place is 24/7, there is never a time that there are not people on the beach, rain or shine. Even in stormy wheather the surfers are out takg advantage of the good waves. Bondi is pretty commercial and generally populated by visitors, but it is still lovely, and not like the costas. You never see drunken yobs or any of that. Geordies obviously cant afford the flight. We have met people from every corner of the world, and have had some great nights just sitting outside drinking goon (cheap boxed wine). Having felt quite brave making this journey ourselves, we have both been impressed with the number of young people who have set out on there own, travelling for a year, and have been to all sorts of countries. You can have a great time here without spending much.

We have worked in a place called Erina for a few days, so spent a week up there and just booked in to the local backpackers in Terregal. Terregal was beautiful, and we also visited Avoca beach, just down the road, during that week. It was a busy week work wise so didn't do much but have some walks in the evening, but on the Thusday we didn't do any overtime and hit Avoca beach after work. We had a great time, the place was stunning and I was swimming in these huge waves, well thats how they appeared when I was in them, just awesome. We had a french chef with us, because he was sitting about the backpackers alone when we left, so we invited him along. We both came the conclusion that he fancied me, because he stuck to me like glue, and got very closer, several times, including touching feet at one point. No big deal though, he got the message, and made us all dinner when we got back. The food was fantastic, and he showed us his knives. His knives were impressive and sharp as razors.

We have tried to do something interesting at weekends, so last week we visited The Blue mountains (photos attached), which is Australia's Grand Canyon. Not quite as spectacular as them but geourgous. Mary was singing at a corporate do for a big mobile phone networ company, so we al stayed in a four star hotel complex. Unfortunately, it was very foggy from the Friday till Sunday morning, so we had a quite time Saturday. We got invited to the corporate party, which was pretty wild and great fun. The show they put on, including Mary's bit, was spectacular, no expence spared, and it ended with a great band doing cover versions. Gordon ended up falling asleep in the hotel foyer till he was woken at 6.30am. I don't think Mary was too chuffed about that, although Gordon doesn't seem to think there was anything wrong with it.

The previous week we were invited to a party with Lisa (gordon's). It was about an hour away on the very outskirts of the Sydney suburbs. We arrived at about 7.00pm on Saturday with several tents being pitched on the front lawn. This was a five acre place, with stables, a few paddocks with horses in them, and a lovely back garden area with a pool. We had a great night with dancing, good crack, and some really nice people. Being Sydney, there were gay and straight people, including a couple of cute lesbains. We had a barby at night, and after a few hours sleep in the early hours, lazed about the pool, and had another barby for breakfast. A simple but great weekend.

I am going to sign off for now, and upload some pics. I'll try not to leave it so long in between next time.
