Just a short one today! Went to a fantastic bar/restaurant/nightclub in Chia, one of the villages further up the valley. I don't think I've been anywhere quite so huge. The place is vast, with about 4 dance floors set in the middle of bars and groups of tables. After a short wait we managed to get a table, there were about 10 of us in total, out celebrating German's brother Nico's birthday.
Fighting for food
So we whiled the night away picking at the platters of food brought to the table, drinking beer and "Aguadiente", which is to the Colombians what tequila is to the Mexicans, and dancing (me fairly badly) to salsa, meringue, and the odd noisy rendition of Shakira, which was guaranteed to get even the golden oldies up on their chairs dancing!

I just love the nightlife here. The enthusiasm and passion for dancing, socialising and just enjoying life in general is very infectious! I don't think I've ever been anywhere where both young and old mix and intermingle so well, and are possessed by the need to dance so badly that when there's no room on the dancefloor, or between the tables, they just dance on them!
Showing the Mexicans how it's done!
