(S) Ahhh...Paris - Versailles, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Rodin Museum, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, french onion soup, croque monsieurs. We pretty much just nerded out and spent our days here wandering museums and castles. Pure European bliss.

Oh, there was a small incident when we had to walk a short distance from the train station to our campground outside the city. With our packs. And oh NO - without a car. I thought my esteemed travel partner was dying of heavy pack attack for a while. But we made it.

Our campground was nice - but built on a hill - so either your feet are above your head or all the blood is rushing to your feet. This was made better only when the campsite next to us was inhabited by drunken, LOUD Belgians. But, there's wireless!

(C) Sara was completely wigged about the slant campsite.  I couldn't understand what she was COMPLAINING about until we switched places the second night and I realized she had been sleeping on a hill, while I had not been.  Oh, and this is the place where my sleeping pad has finally completely failed so I am sleeping on the GROUND.  It is very hard and I think I am injuring myself.  Sara of course, doesn't care.  She thinks I am whining.  I'm going to poke a hole in her sleeping pad.  Oh yeah, and Paris is cool.  I especially liked the Louvre cause we spent many hours there wandering the halls looking at the paintings.  Such an incredible treasure.  And I really like the Rodin Museum for its quiet and magic.
