(C) THOUGHT FOR THE DAY -- The Germans did a good thing when they finished the Koln Cathedral and made it free for visitors.  Thanks Germans.

But 502 stairs and schnitzel?!  The oompa marching band doing the bar crawl along the river would have been fun - but autobahns and oompa barcrawls do not mix.

(S) Ahhh...back to Germany for a fly by of the Koln Cathedral. It's kinda one of those must-do's, so we did. However, the 3 billion stairs we had to PAY to climb to the top nearly killed us. Luckily, the German restaurants around here were not in short supply, so we had a light lunch of beer, fried meat, and potatoes. Gotta love this country.
