(C) Let's see - we did finally make it to Lisbon, right?  I spent roughly the last 12 hours battling the absinthe fairy and wishing I was dead.  This wish my dear partner Sara tried to accommodate by offering to kill me several times.  But the SCARIEST time was when she decided she had enough of driving in traffic in Lisbon and stalled the car in the middle of the freeway.  Yes, with cars going by.  Then she refused to drive any further.  And she is yelling something at me.  Hmm, I wonder if I could train this absinthe fairy to attack her for awhile and give me some peace and quiet.  Somebody turn off the drums.  But what's this??  Why are we sitting in the middle of the freeway with trucks barreling past and honking.  Where are we??  Of course I'll drive.  There are a whole bunch of voices in my head right now telling me that's a great idea...  As soon as they're done with their dance party.

(S) Not much to say about Lisbon. It was dirtier and seedier than I thought it would be. Chad got offered drugs 3 times - might have been his haircut and banged up nose from the night before though. There was graffiti and garbage everywhere. We had a great dinner in an Indian restaurant though! And then hightailed it out of there the next morning. Oh - and some nice Portugese man decided to blare his sweet 80's music from his car stereo all night right by our tent. I love camping across Europe.
