(S) The rain in Spain does not fall mainly in the plain. It also hits the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in Granada. But even the rain and getting to the Alhambra at 7:30 am to wait in line for the doors to open at 8:30 couldn't dampen this amazing place. I think the rain made it all the more enjoyable. And we didn't even kill each other. It might have been the fact that we stayed in a real hotel with a bathroom IN THE ROOM. I think I needed it after our stellar Cordoba campground.
But the Alhambra is beautiful. I'll let the pictures of the grounds speak for themselves. It was built by the Moors and since we are not travel book writers, that's all you get.
