(S) Ahhh...Toledo. Needless to say if you're watching the days on the entries, we didn't stay in Madrid any longer than it took us to go through the Prado. It just seemed too big and confusing and we're simply Barcelona people I guess. So off to Toledo. Here we found the best campground - El Greco. We broke camp late on the morning of the 19th as the campground had a store where we bought fresh bread and we each had about 30 cups of cafe con leche from the machine. Nice!
It was then up the hill to old Toledo. The tour books are right - it's more just walking around and enjoying the city - from lamp posts to cats in windows. We spent a few sunny hours just wandering around (and the cathedral was closed for lunch) and headed for Cordoba.
