(C)  We got to Carcassonne late at night and met our first and favorite french motel chain - the Formule 1.  I know it sounds incredibly elegant, but it comes with its own bathroom and shower down the hall - a loft bed for the little ones - and a sink.  The TV has only french channels which Sara really seems to like.  We like hanging out late and watching the talk shows - with multiple trips down the hall of course to use the loo.

OH - and Carcassonne - what an amazing place.  I heard about it long ago from a Quebecoise friend named Brigitte who said it was the most super cool place in Europe.  Bravo Brigitte.  You couldn't have been more right.  What a marvel.  Maybe the most amazing place for towers, walls, ramparts and pathways in the world.
