(C) We went to Poppi (which Sara calls Poopi) because it was the home of the Guidos. We hoped to see some guidos, but couldn't find any. I think they were hiding. We visited their giant castle in Poopi and saw the dungeon where they kept the Florentines. I liked their pirate style (Coy - there were real pirates in this valley - they hijacked the traveling caravans and extorted gold dubloons.) We stopped here on our way to Assisi and this was one of the best places so far. Rick Steves didn't even mention it in his guidebook so we think he might be full of shit. Chad out.
(S) Wow - that pretty much sums it up. I thought Chad was crazy for wanting to go to some random town that neither the Steves nor Lonely Planet mentioned that he read about in some random book left in our apartment in Florence. I was wrong. Mark your calendars boys and girls.
After Poopi, we drove to Assisi where we camped for the first time. Probably should have picked a warmer day or a less windy hilltop, but it worked.
