(C) We found it.  A picture is worth a thousand words and weeks of dreaming.  The picture on the front of our Rough Guide has been a target for a long time.  Today, we drove from Kas to Kaputas along the Turquoise Coast, then hiked down the long staircase to the perfect mediterranean beach.  The water was crystal clear, the sun was shining, the beach was empty.  We lucked out today.  The setting in a high-shouldered cove is nothing but a picture postcard - except for the small group next to us who humored our postcard vision.  To wit, women look good in teeny bathing garb, men do not.
We had dinner last night at the camping, listening to the water on the rocks and drinking efes beer.  Tonight, we went to town and after a short spat about photography, we ended up at a nice place on the side of a cliff, under some trees, eating grilled meat and Greek salad, although here it must have some other name.  This is a nice town for wandering.  We walked through the town square and got some baklava treats at a dessert shop.

(S) The interesting interactions with local wildlife continue at this campground. After a long, hot, but magical day at Kaputas Beach, I needed a shower. Just as an aside, showering in the afternoon in Turkish campgrounds is always a good idea, because the water is solar heated. Showering in the morning is an enlightening experience. So anyway, I was enjoying a nice hot shower and all of a sudden I notice a tiny gecko on the shower curtain, watching me shower. I made Chad come in the women's shower to see him, the little peeping gecko.
