Well Thomas, Gareth and I went on the train to Liverpool for the day. It of course was raining off and on all day and I never saw the sun yesterday or today. We went to the Beatles museum...it was a tape recorder walking tour that was pretty cool. It lasted over an hour and luckly wasn't too busy. We walked along the Albert Dock and saw some tug boats as well as some docked ships. Some of the museums along the pier were free - a abstract art museum (which is always interesting and sometimes maddening because you wonder why some of the art made it there -  there was one canvase that was painted completely blue, another exhibit was rocks on the ground in circles in the shape of a bullseye), a marine museum (where they had an exhibit about the Titanic) and a slavery museum which was sad but interesting. The town was pretty dead until we found the main shopping area which was rediculously busy with people doing their boxing day shopping. The building in town square were beautiful but we didn't see anything picture worthy (the rain may have swayed our opinion). On the way home we missed the first train by two minutes and our second train was delayed and we waited approx. 1 hr. What was suppose to be about an 1.25hr trip turned into a 2.5 hr trip. Oh well. We kinda had trouble figuring out which train/platform to go to and everything was in english.  Should be fun going to a country where english is widely spoken.

We leave tomorrow for Ireland...
