I stayed over at my parents house and my dad gave me a lift to Luton ..except he managed to completely miss Luton on the motorway! faced with a 10 mile rushour tailback to go back on the motorway we took some sidestreets and with 38 minutes to go before departure, I was miraculously allowed to checkin. A $42 excess bill and sprint across the terminal later I was on board.
Having paid extra for checkin and a meal, I was not suprised when the hostess asked me for $2 for a napkin. Thankfully it turned out she was atually charging someone else - to breath or something like that I think. when they told us they were playing Transformers for the 2nd movie I caved in and bought headphones. I was enjoying the build up to show off between good old Optimus Prime and the decepticons when the movie was stopped so they could land! Oh well gives me the excuse to watch it again.
I took a taxi to the Raanana Ulpan from TelAviv. Evbening Rush hour so took some time. a kind Lithuanian lady showed me to my apartment and insisted that I did not to go to work the next day and directed me to a supermarket. the Ulpan made halls of residence look clean and luxurious. My flatmate Aviv (American guy volunteering for ambulance service) seemd cool and thannkfully I had a room to myself. He introduced me to some people upstairs - inclusing Avi from Ealing - and I crashed early
