Our trip departed in a mini-van Northwest Road No 3 and then to Provincial Road J to Estancia Harberton (zoom in on the map). The Estancia was founded in 1886 by Anglican missionary Thomas Bridges, his family still owns the land!  Then we departed via boat to Martillo Island (which they own) to see penguins.  Each year during summertime the local Magellanic Penguins reproduce.  They share the island with Gentoo Penguins, Albatrosses and other birds.  We walked on the island with the penguins, what a experience.  We were on the island for about 1 1/2 and then returned to the Estancia for English tea time.
