We landed in a heavy rain storm in Asuncion (Capital of Paraguay), picked up our bags and hoped that someone from the Estancia Aventura Ranch would meet us at the airport.  Waiting about 1/2 hour and a taxi driver came over with a translator (another taxi driver) to ask if we were Mr. & Mrs Goodrich.  We said yes, he picked up the bags for what would be about an 1-1/2 drive to the ranch.

We have had a great time at Estancia Aventura Ranch, near a small town called Caacupe.  The Ranch is 265 acres with 60 horses and 80 cows and bulls, 20 chickens, 10 ducks, 15 cats and 9 dogs! The land is part woods and part pasture with some hills, the view was great. As you can see from the pictures above we enjoyed ownselfs very much.
Our 8 days and 7 nights were made up of the follow schedule:
1. Eat Breakfast
2. Riding a different horse each day in the morning for 2 to 3 hours
3. Swim in Pool
4. Eat Lunch
5. Swim in Pool
6. Afternoon Nappy!
7. Riding the horses to for 1 1/2 hours to bring in the cows/bulls and other horses to the pasture closest to the Ranch.  This was so much fun, I felt like I was Clint Eastwood in one of his famous westerns!
8. Swim in Pool
9. Eat Dinner
10. Drinking, talking about the world and then Bedtime!
The food was fantastic and the other people staying at the ranch (Dutch and German) were very nice.  Our hosts were German and Swiss with the ranch hands and cooks from Paraguay
Darcy had the dream week of her life with all the horses! My ass was black and blue from riding!
