If you're an ostrich, this is the place to come for work. These birds have been bred hereabouts since the 1870's, and at the turn of the century fortunes were made by the so called "Feather baron's". Pictured is one of the large homes. We went to "The Safari Show Farm" located 3 miles outside of town. The farm specialises in the breeding, conservation and well being of ostriches and has over 2,500 animals.

As you can see from the video's they also ride them (as Darcy did)! Check out the second video of the baby chicks and the parents.

Darcy - Learn to use the Camera!
