We started the morning with a visit to the Viking ship museum. It contains the remains of 3 burial ships, 2 where in perfect condition. I was amazed to think ships such as theses could take a bunch of warriors, supplies etc from Norway to France and Iceland. There is not much to them and they sit just above the waterline.
Then to the palace, unfortunately it's only open in the summer. The guards have fluffy hats and are very popular with the tourists wanting to take photos with them. It has a comanding view over the city down . Wondering down the main street taking photos of the random structures we came accross guys screaming out of a window of the Grand Hotel. This is when we found out that on Sunday afternoon the soccer final for Norway, and the fans where out in force. Each team seemed to have there own chant which they yelled out at random times.
Down to the castle overlooking the harbour, again not much to see and closed. By this time the sun was starting to set (around 3pm) and we decided to grab something to eat in a nice little cafe. Deciding to relax for a few hours we caught a movie then dinner. Out in the town we ran into the football fans again shouting at each other.
Back to the hostel and the idiots in the common area where making more noise then you could think a few people could make. Drunk chicks playing drinking games and sleazey Italians smoking and speaking way to loud. Thankfully they shut up around midnight.
