Once we were back in Chicago I thought it would be OK, once we were like a real single family, snapping at each other, swearing without fear that such a thing would be badly taken. if I showed off a bit (as if I had not throughout the journey) and point to a different, affluent way of life in TinselToy town. When Uncle Sam had me for a V.I.P. guest three short years ago, we (a group of "internationally important" economic journalists) were accommodated in the Palmer House hotel. You can easily find that the establishment is a very classy one and that it was location for some memorable scenes in unforgettable films. Anyway, as I was chaperoning my small platoon of six there, somebody called: -Hey, Dan! You would not dream that I respond to "Dan" just as instinctively as when my christen name is called. I turned.
