My old pal Naum Nacevski was our correspondent from New York, just as he was from London, when I was there on the British Council scholarship of about 45 GBP a month. To save and to keep him company, to bring him all the tiniest of news from Skopje and "Nova Makedonija" - his general friendship and generous attitude not question for a sec - he invited me to stay with his family "for as long" as I was allowed to remain out of office.
