How does one persuade his or her bosses to OK a trip, an expenditure, political move, take responsibility? But then, why should you care to know all this when all it takes to travel is a purse with pennies for transport, bed and some food? Yeah, but you will never see with your own two eyes and smell with your own nose the air on Ben Gurion Airport with Anwar el Sadat reviewing the regiment out there in his honor, all the Israeli political and military top present while the flags of the army units flap fiercely on the wind while the Egyption president courageously endures all that both as reality and as imagery. And you are 4-5 yards away. That you will never ever be able to pay to attend. And what more you want: I was with my soul in Israel among the Israeli and the Egyptians, so, what was my fat ass doing in Skopje? I whipped it and it sprang in action. When my ass is alert - the brain follows. Then things get moving. That is how I travel most of the time.
