As I mentioned in my last post, we are now at Perebere beach in the north of Mauritius. We arrived here yesterday. We are staying at a friends of my parents place, they have a two bedroom apartment above their place. It is a quaint but functional place, we have a full kitchen and a huge patio overlooking their beautiful front yard with mango trees currently dropping ripe mangoes on our heads.

The beach is beautiful and the water is pristine and warm. The kids are having a blast! Even Amelie is enjoying splashing around in the water. The only drawback is the scores of elderly European tourists who insist on wearing bikinis and speedos! Whoever said the Euros had a sense of fashion! We will be here for another five days. Tomorrow, after we hit the beach in the morning, we will go to the Pamplemousse botanical garden.
