Yesterday morning after checking out of our hostel we went tramping (hiking) to Sabine Falls. It was a 2 1/2 hr. walk thru the rain forrest. We passed exotic foliage & bubbling brooks. Half way thru you come to the falls. After not exercising for a week - it felt so good to be out walking thru this lush forest. The weather is perfect. Such a difference from northern Australia where it was so hot & humid.
After our walk we had our picnic lunch & headed for Port Campbell. our next hostel. In our bldg. there were only 2 other girls from Sweden. We watched Roger Federer play that amazing game that went on for over 4 hrs. Realized you were all sleeping & probably wouldn't see it till the next day. Wondered if you saw the results on the internet befeore seeing the actual game.
Curious - someone let me know. Today we headed back along the Great Ocean Road stopping at the 12 apostles on the beach. These are the most famous of the rock formations in the area. It was a magnificent sight. We continued our drive back stopping at one of the many cafes for coffee. We arrived at our next hostel in Anglesea by 4 PM. It was nice to pull in a little earlier. Abby is exercising now (I should be with her - but...) In a couple of hrs. we'll go into town. I wanted to pick up some fish & chips. Can't leave Australia without trying some. We head for Melbourne tomorrow morning. I think we're only a couple of hrs. away. Wanted to get there early. We're scheduled for a dorm room - Ugh!! Want to make sure I'm not on top.

To be able to trek in the rainforest is so special! I love reading your descriptions complete with the comments about those top bunks. Its those little details of daily life that add great color to your travelogue.
The time change thing is really interesting. Yes!We already know the scores before we watch the tennis games. It is strange.
Take care and enjoy. Carl and I are head... show all
