I think reality had kicked in by this time. The previous day was our final island visit and we were on our way back to Florida. With just two more days left, we had nothing else to do except ... EAT!

We started the day at the lovely brunch, the second and final one of the cruise. The Constellation’s crew really did a fantastic job displaying the delictabel foods at the brunch. The setting was so elegant with the bright windows in the dining room, the food stations positioned throughout the area featuring artfully displayed good things to eat. I could live like this all the time; really, I could!

After dining slowly on a plethora of delicious foods, we enjoyed the ship some more. There were so many areas to sit and relax, view the ocean, and even enjoy the artwork on board. We spent some time working on the travel journal, then took in a movie, “The Tourist,” at the theatre. What a nice afternoon. Unfortunately, sitting in the theatre didn’t allow us to work off the heavy brunch we had consumed earlier, but that didn’t stop us from looking forward to dinner. Yes, more eating!

Finally, it was time to prepare for the Captain’s dinner, our last formal affair of the cruise. We love to endulge in the formal nights -- getting all dolled up in our finest and strolling through the hallways watching the other guests in their elegant attire. It adds a special touch to the cruise that we always remember. During dinner, our cruise director introduced the remarkable wait staff that had made our evening dining experiences top notch each night. From the waiters and assistant waiters, to the sommeliers and maitre ‘ds, the staff was exceptional. Guests throughout the dining room gave the staff a rousing applause and waived our napkins in celebration of their professionalism and kindness.

It was a nice way to end the day.
