We arrived in Sydney at 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning to 35 degree celcius.  We have a centrally located apartment hotel so we have full kitchen and laundry facilities.  After a few hours of sleep we walked to Circular Quay at Sydney Harbour where we had dinner and then just enjoyed the beautiful scenery - the Harbour Bridge and the famous Opera House.

Next morning we shopped for groceries, mainly for breakfast and some snack foods.  Then we had a guided walking tour of the Rocks, a very poor area where convicts from the British Isles lived two hundred years ago.  Now it is very upscale with trendy shops and restaurants.  Later in the day we ventured down to the BridgeClimb where we were outfitted with a jumpsuit and safety gear for climbing the bridge.  It was a twilight climb which took three hours total.  Beautiful views of the Opera House, the city and the Harbour.

Today, we hopped on a bus to Bondi Beach which is one of the most famous beaches in Sydney.  Watched a number of surfers in their wet suits trying to ride the waves.  We are now on our way to the Sydney Aquarium.
