We were up very early this morning. Coffee on the balcony and as usual many surfers already in the water. This morning I decided to count them and there was over one hundred and it was only 6am!! Today we did a tour of Pearl Harbour. I have to admit I was not particularly excited about this tour but it turned out to be fantastic. It started with a film about the history of how the Japanese got involved in the war and there was actual footage of the bombing of Pearl Harbour. Then a launch took us out to the US Arizona memorial. The Arizona was sunk  and nearly twelve hundred men were killed, most of whom were never recovered from the wreck. The memorial was built over the actual wreckage, some of which still pokes up out of the water. Then a tour of the battleship Missouri. A very patriotic way to spend the American Independence Day!
This evening there was a big fireworks display on Waikiki beach with about five bazillion people.
