Lex was a little surprised to see us again so soon, but was as always very welcoming. We went out for dinner at our favourite place and had a short stroll through the park again, before returning for the night. We had a very early start the next morning, and had Lex organise a taxi for us at 4am. To our surprise, Lex pulled out his camera again and told us that the last photo didnīt work, so we posed again for his wall of fame!
Up before the sun, we had to get Lex to open the gates for us and went out to get our taxi - but no sign of it! We waited a while, but it still didnīt show, so Lex flagged down a passing one for us and we farewelled him once again, and set off for the airport for our flight to Santiago.
We had already been given boarding passes for this flight when we were in Arequipa, so all we had to do was check in our luggage and we werenīt too worried about the flight at all. However, the guy at the counter was taking ages to check us in. We finally asked if there was a problem. He said he couldnīt find us on the system! WHAT!!! He told us not to worry, but how couldnīt we, we needed to get home now! After almost an hour at the check in counter the problem was sorted and we would be on the flight to Santiago. There was still one issue though, he couldnīt guarantee that we would be on the flight from Santiago to Sydney later that day! He said it would be up to us to sort it out when we got to Santiago - like we needed any more stress!
