Leaving home was hard. We had spent such a wonderful time with our families - it was so much harder to leave this time. We made it, although it was an emotional flight from home. Again, via Singapore, we returned to Bangkok - it seems our second home on this trip, as we had been back so much.
After going back to winter in Australia, our bodies had adjusted to the cool and now the heat and humidity was really paying its toll. Our intentions of trying to stay in a "fan" room instead of air conditioning only lasted about 15 minutes... we then raced downstairs to pay the extra to get the air-conditioning turned on. Hot Hot Hot!
We had given ourselves two full days in Bangkok before leaving for Hong Kong, in order to do a bit more shopping and get organised for the next part of our trip
The following day we BOTH braved haircuts (yes Mum, both of us!). We went back to the same place Glenn had a haircut (and shave) when we were here the first time. Glenn had his hair cut, only costing 70 Baht (AU$2.30). Pretty good though - impressive enough for Christie to let them cut hers. And although a little shorter than she had hoped, they did a really good job, spending a lot of time, doing all the normal tricks, and complimenting her on her hair. Normally costing a lot at home (You can tell Glenn is writing this!), this time it was only 130Baht (AU$4.30)! AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH! She was very brave, but full credit to the hairdressers in Bangkok - they did a great job, and Glenn is now thinking that it may be worth the cost of the flight, just so Christie can get her hair cut!
We are now ready for Hong Kong!

. Our day out shopping was intended for Christie to have a look around, although we first went to the electronics market and well, that's pretty much where we spent most of the time! Thanks Glenn!
