In spite of the mechanical slowdown, we are still having a great time. Today, we opted to take the dink in for breakfast and had a great experience. We went to the local "Dele" owned by the same family for 3 generations. It was a real surprise. When we went inside, it was packed and we were seated wall to wall with others. The place was decorated with b&w pics of celebrities and politicians. Even the booth behind me was reserved for the "governors office" with one side labeled Republicans and one Dems.
Then promptly at 9:30 the owner got up near the front and announced all should rise for the 'Pledge of Allegiance", so with the flag hung high above the lunch counter about 75 people rose in unison and loudly recited the familiar pledge. It was really special.
Later we got out pic taken with the owners under the famous flag.
Tonight we head in for the concert and parade. We are loosing the cool weather but having a great time.
See pics.

Sounds like a wonderful day.We had HD's at the Yelin's and were home by 8:30 for 14 different fireworks displays over the valley. Cooling down today, only 112. Going up to Flagstaff for 2 days for a golf tournement; taking the kids with us. Love to you all, hear from you soon.
