Thanks to all those who contacted me. We pulled into the Wickfford Ship Yard about 7 miles north east of Newport RI for the storm. We got into a slip that was really too small for the '40 but we made it work. We spent hours prepping. In the end, it was a non event. Today, Saturday, the winds are higher than last night. So all is well. Today we head back to Newport anchorage to enjoy the Irish Music Fest. Then 2-3 more weeks and were are back here to end the summer season. All is well.

We are safely back in Newport Harbor but there is more wind now than when
the storm came though last night. Its gusting nearly to 35 kts.

Glad to hear that Hurricane Earl did not bother you too much. He did not bother us at all in Virginia.

So glad the storm did not prove to be a major event for you. Love, Joy
