How hard of a day is it when your first thought after waking up and using the bathroom is if you want to snorkel today?
Headed out to Mackenna today to get some kayaking and snorkeling in. It was quite a cool little adventure as it was only Scott, Danielle and myself along with our guide John/Jon. After some small instruction on the kayak and paddling and safety off we went. Scott in his own little kayak, Jon in his and Danielle and I in the "divorce kayak". John/Jon filled us in on how the term camed to be, "divorce kayak". He mentioned that the person in front, Danielle, set the pace and I was to follow that pace. The only time I broke from the pace was to reset the course. Of course Danielle was having a field day with it and so, although undocumented, we were out there doing synchronized paddling.
Today was also birthday party time for Danielle's mum so there was a big gathering of the family later on to celebrate her birthday. Grilled steaks and a variety of other goodies rounded out by cake! Mmmmmmm...caaaaaaake!
