We arrived in Dublin under a haze of sleepiness and the thrill of sitting in front of an older couple who were "deep into the cups". So for most of the flight, Danielle and I had to listen to Irish drinking songs and other bits of conversation that were twice as loud due to the headsets that both of them were wearing. That's okay though, we made it through customs, the hunt for our bags since the airlines had them divided and the acquisition of our nice little Fiat Punto from Dan Dooley Rental Car Hire.
Our first stop after a harrowing experience of getting used to the left side of the road, driving on the right and shifting with my left was Cashel. Poor Danielle has a white streak forming in her hair from the various close calls we've had with hedges and some other vehicles.
At Cashel, we toured the ruins of a 12th century Cathedral/Church before collapsing from exhaustion at the early hours of 6:30 PM. After a fine breakfast at the Bed and Breakfast we were staying at, we headed off to Dingle, via secondary roads and nice scenery. I am still trying to figure out how to upload photos, so in the mean time, here is the location of the pictures that I've taken from my mobile phone. http://photos.yahoo.com/g_squared_69 Tomorrow we're off to Galway. Dingle has been nice and we had an interesting drive around the peninsula. We drank waaaay too much last night, but that's okay. We're pacing ourselves now. More thumbnails ...
